Who we are

Mandate is a UK mandate design company. We design how a business hands authority to a software agent, and how anyone that agent deals with can check it for themselves.

The binding says which agent is acting, for which business, on whose confirmation, within what scope and for how long. The mandate says what money, if any, may move under it. The record ties what the agent did back to the business that answers for it. We design the mandate. We do not execute it today.

Our team has been building AI systems since 2017 and working with agentic frameworks since 2024. That experience is why we started Mandate: to build the infrastructure and standards that agentic commerce needs before it can be trusted.

Our mission

Every business will have an agent. Our purpose is to speed that up, with a safety net under the people behind it.

Before long, machines will deal with machines, and the first thing each will ask of the other is who it belongs to. Without an answer, your agent booking a haircut can be caught by a fake site imitating your barber. It overpays a supplier invoice, and nobody can show what was authorised, by whom, or what actually happened. And the question nobody has answered yet is who carries the loss.

We exist to make those questions answerable for every business, from the sole trader to the company running a thousand agents. An identity tied to a real business. An authority a person gave, with limits, that can be withdrawn at any time. A record of every action. A liability framework settled before anything moves. That is what turns an agent from a stranger into a representative, and lets a business find out fast when one has been turned against it.
